We have six cozy cabins. Five
cottages sleep up to six guests (a sixth cabin sleeps 4).
If you're up early, watch the sunrise. Later, go
off to sleep to the sound of the waves.

coffee in the morning, a glass of wine at night and good books
in between. Within walking distance are the Karfi (Rock
Island ferry), the Jackson Harbor Ridges and sand beaches, and

What's at McDonald's Lakeshore Cottages for
kids (of all ages)? There are 2,000 feet of shoreline
along Jackson Harbor and Lake Michigan, and 33 acres of cedar
woods. Our guests enjoy swimming, campfires, gazing at
billions of stars, pondering the Northern Lights (schedule not
available), looking for crayfish, fishing, hiking, skipping
stones, and enjoying the wildlife (a likely deer, maybe an
eagle). For many of our guests, their stay is a much
anticipated retreat and favorite annual vacation. We hope
yours will be, too.
